The Sapiens Movement was very modestly launched in New Zealand in June 2005. It will take several years to gather significant momentum. Once that critical mass is reached, the movement’s commitment to the unity of humankind will be matched with practical actions that uphold this principle. 

When launched, the aim of Sapiens Bridge will be to increase public awareness of the unity of human experience.  This to be achieved by establishing an aid agency with direct links between donor and receiver.  Sapiens Bridge will work not only for the material benefit of the recipients but also to bring understanding and empathy to the donors.
